Learning to Lead Step by Step
2012, in my early 30s, my first management position. I was told to “clean things up”—and I did. I gave it my all, convinced that I could get everything done faster on my own.
I woke up when the first employee wanted to quit because of me. I was supposed to build up the team, not tear it down.
After that: a part-time master’s program, four locations established, many executives trained. And plenty of falling down, getting back up, straightening my crown, and moving forward.
Today, I’m passing on what I was missing back then: simple, practical tools and a mindset that makes leadership easy—even when things get turbulent.
